On 30 May the Spanish Alliance for Investing in Children met in a workshop to prepare an Advocacy Strategy to reinforce public policies fighting child poverty and implementing the EC Recommendation Investing in Children: Breaking the cycle of Disadvantage.
The aim of the workshop was to join partners in defining a common advocacy strategy that allows coordination and sharing of expertise and adds value to the various work being done to promote social inclusion of children in Spain. The capacity-building-type session was facilitated by an external expert on EU policy who will also collate the outcomes of the workshop into a draft strategy.
The workshop took place at UNICEF Spanish National Committee office in Madrid, Spain.
